Incline / Rate of ascent

The altitude measurement is based on a barometric air pressure sensor.

The total day's climb and the maximum day's altitude is recorded and display for both uphill and downhill.

Incline
The incline percentage is calculated from the change in distance and altitude.

Rate of ascent
The rate of ascent is a calculation that shows the current vertical climbing speed in feet per minute.
